Meng Jia Yang is a senior in Pierson College from Vancouver, Canada. She is double majoring in Economics and International Studies. When she's not working on WLI efforts, she spends her time writing for the Yale Undergraduate Law Review and volunteering for the Urban Debate League. This summer, Meng Jia interned at the Washington, DC Office of the Attorney General in the Civil Litigation Division where she helped with trial preparation and did legal research for a variety of cases. Meng Jia enjoys swimming, home-cooked Chinese food, creative non-fiction writing and traveling. As the organization enters its fifth year, she hopes to expand WLI's campus presence and strengthen our community of active members. She also plans to work individually with each board member and associate to develop her leadership potential and interests.

Vice President

Alexis Wise is a junior in Branford College from Los Altos Hills, California. She is majoring in Psychology. She is a Yale College Council representative and is involved in the Slifka Center for Jewish Life. In her free time, Alexis enjoys Branford College IM's, bowling, watching stand-up comedy, cooking and eating foreign food, and listening to country music.

 Business Chair

Jacqueline Sahlberg is a senior American Studies major in Silliman College and a proud 6th generation Idahoan. She spent her summer interning in corporate communications at Humana in Louisville, Kentucky through Bulldogs in the Bluegrass. Jacqueline runs varsity cross country and track for Yale. Her interests range from skiing and spending time with her family to practicing yoga, taking photos and learning how to make wine. This year, she hopes to increase WLI's capabilities through partnerships with outside organizations and corporations.

 Speakers and Workshops Chair

 Chelsea Jurman is a junior Ethics, Politics and Economics major in Berkeley College. This past summer, Chelsea worked at Goldman Sachs Asset Management as a summer analyst covering client portfolio management for the Quantitative Investment Strategies group. Chelsea enjoys writing and performing sketch comedy with Red Hot Poker, taking photographs, reading historical fiction and having long dinner conversations in the Berkeley dining hall. This year, Chelsea plans to bring accomplished and interesting female speakers to campus to participate in information sessions, workshops and networking events across a broad range of academic and professional areas.

 Chair of Mentorship

Cynthia Tsay is a junior in Trumbull College pursuing a major in the History of Science & Medicine and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. She spent the summer conducting research on differentiating spermatogonial stem cells into endothelial cells through the REU EBICS program. Cynthia is a member of the varsity swim team and volunteers with CHE and the Haven Free Clinic. In her free time, she enjoys exploring New Haven's restaurant scene, baking, hiking, and watching romantic comedies. This year, Cynthia hopes to strengthen the mentorship program by collaborating with women groups in the professional schools.

Melissa Hou hails from Louisville, KY and is a junior, Global Affairs major in Berkeley College. She spent the summer of 2011 interning in the London offices of an alternative asset management firm, and conducting research on post-financial crisis regulation and financial politics. Her interests range from the study of ethnic conflict and diplomacy to cooking and travel. This year, she hopes to attract an even larger and more diverse group of attendees to the WLI conference, and to introduce an entrepreneurship panel.

Alumnae Relations Chair

Meredith Potter, a junior in Saybrook College, is a Political Science major concentrating in International Security. She spent her summer in Washington DC, where she interned for the Department of Defense. Meredith loves country music and sweet tea. She enjoys watching the Food Network and cooking with her suitemates. This year, Meredith hopes to increase alumnae involvement in WLI by arranging for alumnae to participate in our annual conference and expanding our job shadowing day in New York City.

 Outreach Chair

Eileen Jang is a junior in Calhoun College from Cary, North Carolina.  She is studying Environmental Engineering and Economics at Yale.  She spent this past summer interning at the Yale Investments Office, where she will continue to work during the school year.  Outside of WLI, Eileen is a dedicated member of the Calhoun intramural sports team, and leads Ventures in Science, an organization she founded that brings together students who are interested in exploring the intersection of science with other fields.  Eileen enjoys playing all kinds of sports, sweet tea, and rooting for UNC basketball. This year, Eileen hopes to help create a more diverse and larger membership base for WLI.
